Heat advisory in Metro Detroit

The Metro Detroit area has been issued a heat advisory by the Nationa Weather Service. Th area is under the impact of high temperatures and high humidity which has made conditions unbearable for most people.

The advisory that has been issued to all of Southern Michigan states that residents are advised to stay indoors, drink lots of fluid, use air conditioning. Also it has been advised that children and pets are not to be left in vehicles at any time.

According to officials from the department the heat is expected to rise and the temperature is expected to reach 93 degrees in some areas.

The advisory is valid till 8 a.m. on Tuesday, after which a new advisory likely to be given out as the weather conditions are expected not to change.
